We’re bringing a smaller group of students this year — but we definitely have quality,” coach Heather Jourdeans said. “I’m so proud of the work each has done over the course of this year. Each has worked very hard to move on to state.”

Forensics has many categories of speech competition. The St. Croix Central program, in part thanks to the support at the middle school level, has steadily increased its quality of competition over the years, Jourdeans said.

This year’s state qualifiers include: Meghan Vondriska, Farrago (senior) Captain; Heidi Feyereisen, Oratory (senior) Captain; Amber McDonald, Moments in History (junior); Dominique Linder, Radio (junior); Andrew Skala, Four Minute (junior); Anna Hueg, Prose (junior); Ryan Wenberg, Solo Acting (junior); and Jason Zielsforf, Poetry (junior).
