SHS Prom set for Saturday

The 2012 Somerset High School Prom and Post Prom Party will be held this Saturday.

The 2012 Somerset High School Prom and Post Prom Party will be held this Saturday.

The Prom will be held in the high school multi-purpose room. The Post Prom Party will be held at The Centre in New Richmond.

All Somerset High School juniors and seniors and their guests are invited to the Promenade and the Prom Dance. The Promenade will start at 7 p.m. Coronation of the Prom King and Prom Queen will take place at the end of the Promenade.

The Prom Dance will follow the Promenade at 8 p.m. This is a great opportunity for family and friends to see the prom couples and take photos.

The Post Prom Party is open to all students who attend the prom. Many activities will be available including the use of the gym, pool, bungee run, game tables, videos, caricatures and prize giveaways. All students attending must ride a bus to the event. Students attending the Post Prom Party will be bused from the high school to The Centre at 11:30 p.m. Students not attending Prom, but attending the Post Prom Party should be at the high school at 11:15 p.m.

Students will be bused from The Centre back to the high school at 5:30 a.m.

For students attending Prom, Prom Perks is available again this year. Prom Perks provides hair, nails and makeup for students for free. Students should contact Jeanne Germain for an appointment.

Prom advisors are Jenna Evenson and Susie Kadlec. The Post Prom coordinator is Kelly Larson.

Prom queen candidates for 2012 include Natalie Broome, Stephanie LeMire, Savanna Vang, McKell Larson and Grace Becher. Prom king candidates are Bobby LeRoy, Tyler Ledbeter, Reggie Larson, Matt Skoglund and Vern Breault.
