Somerset kindergarten students learn about Earth Day
Kindergarten students at Somerset Elementary School were able to learn about Earth Day through the generosity of EconoFoods in Somerset.

Kindergarten students at Somerset Elementary School were able to learn about Earth Day through the generosity of EconoFoods in Somerset.
The kindergarten staff partnered with local artist, Kate Jeska, and EconoFoods manager Mark Hein. The students were given an art lesson by Jeska in designing, planning and drawing simple artwork on their reusable EconoFoods bag that related to animals and plants on our Earth. The bags were donated by EconoFoods. Jeska and Hein were available to help students with the finality of their design with paint. The students got to take their bags home to practice “Reuse and Reduce” for Earth Day.
