Loretta I. Ewing, age 80, of Prescott, died Tuesday, April 24, at Prescott Nursing and Rehab.

Loretta I. Ewing, age 80, of Prescott, died Tuesday, April 24, at Prescott Nursing and Rehab.

Loretta was born Nov. 6, 1931, in New Richmond, Wis., the daughter of Lee and Irene (Larson) Rogers. She was a graduate of New Richmond High School and attended the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and obtained her 4-year degree in education, with emphasis on physical education and history. On Aug. 7, 1954, she was united in marriage to Theodore "Red" Ewing in New Richmond. Together they had three children. For many years, Loretta taught physical education (K-12) and history at the Prescott High School. She had a deep love for family holiday tradition and family meals.

She was a member of the Prescott United Church of Christ.

Loretta is survived by her daughter, Peggy (Jeff) Kosin, Prescott; son Jack (Heather) Ewing of Prescott; grandchildren, Angela Kosin, Kyle Kosin, Alex Ewing, and Bauer Ewing; siblings, Helen (Glen) Schumacher, Alice (Edward) Olson, Rodney (Karen) Rogers, Gale (David) Langer, and Leroy (Edith) Rogers.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore "Red", and son Teddy.

Funeral services for Loretta will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 28, at the Prescott United Church of Christ, Prescott, Wis. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Rev. Matt Schneider Adams will officiate. Burial will be in the Pine Glen Cemetery, Prescott. Friends may call at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.
