SCC students perform well at state forensics

The eight St. Croix Central High School forensics students who made it to state performed well at the state-level of the competition at the University of Wisconsin-Madison on April 20-21.

“Congratulations to the St. Croix Central High School forensics team for their stellar performance at state in Madison this weekend,” said forensics advisor Heather Jourdeans. “Making it to state is an important achievement. The students have been working hard since December on their pieces, striving for great scores.”

Jourdeans said the rigorous judging standards at state make it difficult to score well and the select few who achieve a perfect score of 25 “Critic’s Choice” truly earn it.

St. Croix Central’s gold winners who scored a perfect 25 are: junior Amber McDonald, senior Meghan Vondriska, senior Heidi Feyereisen and junior Jason Zielsdorf.

The silver “all-state” winners are: junior Andrew Skala, junior Dominique Linder, junior Anna Hueg and junior Ryan Wenberg.
