To help attain his Eagle Scout rank, Nick Bradish, 16, conducted an Arbor Day event at Hillside Elementary April 27.
The event included a presentation to fourth-graders at the school, as well as the planting of three trees on the property. The fourth-graders helped with the actual planting of the three red maple trees, that were donated by Doyle’s Farm & Home in New Richmond.
The tree replaces three pine trees that died near the school.
Now that Bradish has completed his project, the Troop 460 member awaits his Court of Honor ceremony where he will receive his Eagle Scout rank.
Bradish is the son of Mick and Trisha Bradish of New Richmond.
As part of his Boy Scout commitment, Bradish works as a summer counselor at Camp Tesomas near Rhinelander.
