Open house, bike rodeo slated for May 19

Those wondering about the New Richmond Community Commons will have an opportunity to check out the space at the upcoming open house on May 19.

The open house, which runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., is being held in conjunction with the annual New Richmond Area Bike Rodeo and Safety Fair at the New Richmond Area Ambulance Service garage.

The bike rodeo event is free and open to the public. It will feature a bicycle course, seat belt safety by the Crash Test Dummies, certified car seat checks, New Richmond Fire Department’s smoke house, free bike safety inspections, a jump house, etc.

After the whizzing through the bike course, head into the Community Commons for some free coffee, cookies and lemonade.

All organizations will be available for people to walk through, ask questions and give tours.
