NRHS students receive fine arts awards
Four New Richmond High School students were recipients of New Richmond Fine Arts Council scholarships for summer camps presented at the high school music concert on Saturday, May 12.
Four New Richmond High School students were recipients of New Richmond Fine Arts Council scholarships for summer camps presented at the high school music concert on Saturday, May 12.
Hailey Bessac will be attending the Whitewater Choir Camp. Bessac plays in jazz band and sings in Kammerchor, the high school concert choir. She will be a junior next year.
Tara Bierbrauer will go to Minneapolis College of Art and Design Pre-College Summer Session, which features contemporary image and media. Bierbrauer will be a senior in the fall.
Audrey DeKock will be participating in the Wisconsin High School State Honors Treble Choir Summer Camp at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. DeKock has sung in the high school solo/ensemble festival and also in Wisconsin Music Teachers Association Auditions. She is also a member of Kammerchor. She will be a junior next year.
Anna Starks will be attending the Upper Midwest Strings and Chamber Music Conference at the College of St. Benedict in St. Joseph, Minn. She received the Joan Tubbs Memorial Scholarship (administered by the NRFAC) as well as a general NRFAC scholarship. Starks plays violin and will be a sophomore at NRHS this fall.
