LETTER: Don’t miss flag dedication at Citizens Field

To the Editor:

I would like to inform the people of New Richmond that the American Legion Butler-Harmon Post 80 is having a dedication ceremony at Citizens Field on June 5 at 6:15 p.m. in honor of the new flag pole. The ceremony will take place before the first American Legion baseball game. Vernon Conrad will be raising the flag for the first time. He will also be throwing the ceremonial first pitch.

I want the City of New Richmond to know that I am excited about the installation and ceremony on June 5. I am even more excited about the first game of the season. Remember the game starts at 6:30 p.m. sharp. I am so happy and glad about it that I could cry.

I want to say thanks to the New Richmond Parks and Recreation Department for their hard work. The next two men did so much work for the flag pole and raising money, it’s hard to express my thanks to Dave Mehls and Arvid Flanum. Thank you for helping me through the entire process.

I would like to see all of the public down at Citizens Field for the ceremony and game.
