SMC expands its Somerset location

SMC Ltd., a medical device contract manufacturer with locations in California, Wisconsin, Massachusetts, Ohio, Costa Rica and India, announced plans for a significant expansion to its global headquarters and manufacturing facility located in Somerset, Wis.

The expansion, currently underway, is expected to more than double existing production capacity at this site, adding more than 100,000 square feet of device manufacturing and engineering space to the location in Somerset. The new space will add significant device manufacturing and assembly space as well an expanded area for thermoplastics and silicone (LIM) molding. The expansion will allow SMC increased production of medical devices currently produced in Somerset. The expansion is scheduled to be completed by November of this year.
