The property, which is now a county park, was originally homesteaded by presenter Donna Seim’s late husband’s grandparents. Seim was assisted with the presentation by park volunteer Amy Clarkpinney.

Organizing teacher Rick Montreal reported that one of the boys told him “I thought it would be a boring history talk but this was cool.”

Students in the group shown include: Lorin Bauer, Nathanial Besemen, Emma Brugler, Katherine Chwialkowski, Evan Derrick, John Earley, Kaiya Fox, Renee Goulet, Kinsleigh Hanson, Emily Hawkins, Connor Iverson, Megan Jansen, Jake Jirik, Taylor Johnson, Nicholas Kauffman, Peyton Krumm, Christopher Lubow, Alexis miller, Oliver Nelson Braden Newham, Emily Noye, Christine Penard, Timothy Ryle, Reid Sorensen-Schad, Lily Swiggum and Kaitlyn Zeller.
