Amery man dies following accident

Anderson was involved in a one-vehicle accident at around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 13, in the Town of Alden, according to the Polk County Sheriff's Office.
Anderson was the lone occupant of the car, which was southbound on Highway 65 when it left the roadway and struck a tree.
Rescue workers extricated Anderson, who was trapped in his 1996 Buick Regal. He was transported to Amery Regional Medical Center and later flown to St. Paul Regions Hospital.
The crash remains under investigation by the Polk County Sheriff's Department.
