Adeline Julia Peskar (nee Gleason), age 93, of River Falls, Wis., died Friday, June 29, at the Kinnic Health & Rehab, River Falls.

Adeline Julia Peskar (nee Gleason), age 93, of River Falls, Wis., died Friday, June 29, at the Kinnic Health & Rehab, River Falls.

Adeline was born on Nov. 10, 1918, in Stanton, Wis., to John A. and Mary Jane (Fagnon) Gleason. She was a graduate of New Richmond High School and attended college for teaching at the River Falls Normal School. On Oct. 8, 1941, Adeline married Emmett G. Peskar of River Falls. Adeline and Emmett settled on the family farm in Kinnickinnic Township, where she lived and worked her entire life.

Adeline loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed baking and trying out new recipes, playing cards, gardening, and taking care of her animals. Adeline touched many lives with her hospitality and was always eager to enjoy a cup of coffee or tea with her visitors.

Adeline is survived by her children, Duane (Judy), Bernice (Mark) Larson, Irving (Lezlie) and Ronald (Laura Weinberger); grandchildren Troy (Kristi), Susan, Lesa (Brian) Kusilek, Kim (Adam Dale), Daniel, Sarah, Samantha, and Megan Larson; great-grandchildren, Mathew and Miranda, Bryan and Katie, Scott and Shane Klimek, Ella and Olivia Fern, and Austin Dale. Adeline is also survived by her brothers Walter Gleason of Stillwater, Minn., and Raymond (Donna) Gleason of River Falls; sisters Josephine (Arthur) Kennedy of Kansas City, Mo., Margaret (Forrest) Rowe of Excelsior Springs, Mo., and Eleanor (Frank) Madsen of Elk River, Minn.; brother-in-law Paul Mack and sisters-in-law Helen Gleason and Dorothy Gleason, all of New Richmond, and Patricia Fleming (Kenneth Gleason) of Duluth; and many nieces, nephews and family friends.

Adeline was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Jane Gleason; husband, Emmett; daughter-in-law Bonnie Peskar; grandson Tracy Peskar; brothers Edward, Irven, Harvey, William, Kenneth, and Marcel; and sisters Mercedes Nelson and Mary Jane Mack.

Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Bridget Catholic Church in River Falls at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 3, with visitation 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Visitation was also held at Cashman-Hill Funeral Home from 4-7 p.m. Monday, July 2. Burial was at the St. Bridget Catholic Cemetery in River Falls.
