Once again, local band Ten Mile Creek will be there to get things started. Named after an actual creek that runs through St. Croix County for about 10 miles, this group plays a collection of acoustic and electric favorites “soothing to the ear and the soul.”
Band members include Phil Wallander, Tom Nirmaier, Jerry Germain and Joe Sir. Combined, its members have many years of experience in various venues of live music including barbershop quartet, rock, bluegrass and folk, as well as current roles in various churches around the area. They have been very busy all around the community since they formed in the fall of 2008.
Ten Mile Creek provides family-friendly entertainment through harmony-rich, toe-tapping, fun-to-listen-to music. You’ll hear several original songs, as well as plenty of familiar ones from The Eagles, Poco, Crosby Stills & Nash, Pure Prairie League, Beatles and others.
The sponsor for the evening is Countryside Plumbing & Heating and entertainment begins at 6:30 p.m., ending at about 8 p.m. The Farmer’s Market vendors have been invited, Messes and Masterpieces will return with an art project for the kids, Zaney Janey has been invited to provide henna and Table 65 will have Gelato available for sale.
Bring your picnic blanket or lawn chairs and a picnic supper. Pop and popcorn are available for sale and one of the historic buildings at the New Richmond Heritage Center will be open for visitors to wander through. It’s a rain or shine event. For more information, call 715-246-3276.
