Fatal accident occurs Sunday on I-94

An Arizona man is dead following a one-vehicle accident on Interstate 94 in western Wisconsin Sunday.
The Wisconsin State Patrol was dispatched to milepost 47 in Dunn County near Menomonie at about 11:26 a.m. Sunday, July 8.
A single-car rollover occurred when a Toyota Camry with three occupants rolled after a rear tire blew out. The driver subsequently lost control of the car which then overturned on the roadway.
The front seat passenger, 22-year old Zachary Scott Booher from Mesa, AZ, sustained fatal injuries as a result of the crash, and he was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver and rear seat passenger were injured and transported by ambulance to Luther Hospital in Eau Claire. All occupants were wearing their seatbelts.
Assisting agencies included Dunn Co. Sheriff’s Department, Mayo 1 Helicopter, Menomonie Fire and Rescue and Colfax Ambulance.
I-94 westbound was shut down at exit 52 and traffic rerouted onto an established alternate route for about 15 minutes as a medic helicopter landed on I94 westbound at the crash scene. None of the vehicle occupants ended up being transported from the scene by the helicopter.
The crash remains under investigation by the WI State Patrol.
The car's driver was Trevor Joseph McCoy, 19, of Conyers, Georgia. Steven Mitchell Rouk, 22, was the second passenger.
