Table 65 brings fun to Fun Fest

What fun would Fun-Fest be without a couple of stand-up comedy shows to fill out the weekend’s festivities?

What fun would Fun-Fest be without a couple of stand-up comedy shows to fill out the weekend’s festivities?

Table 65 in conjunction with Scott Novotny plan on two separate and completely different stand-up comedy shows at the restaurant on Friday and Saturday nights July 13th and 14th.

On Friday night, headline comedienne local favorite Marj Rowan is the featured performer. Rowan has been busy since taking the stand-up comedy classes at the Space for the past two years and has now branched out and been performing at stand-up comedy clubs and corporate parties. A favorite also at the local community theater scene, her outrageous physical facials and woes at becoming older have had audience in stiches ever since she has hit the stage. “Well a good thing about getting older, going braless takes all the wrinkles out of your face”.

Also on the bill for Friday is Gina and Sassy, a ‘sassy’ ventriloquist act performed by New Richmond’s own, Gina Postma. She has also been seen locally here in Nunsense!!, and the Phipps Theatre in Hudson.

Also on the bill — Doreena Loescher, Julie Sanders (fresh from her sold out show in Roberts at SideTracks Bar and Saloon), Tyler Haines and Jeanie Weenie Martinson. Friday’s show is for adults only.

Saturday’s line up is a family friendly show headlining comedian Scott Novotny. Scott has headlined comedy clubs throughout the US, performed on Comedy Central and America’s Funniest People. Scott resides in New Richmond and has also taught stand-up comedy and improvisational classes at the Space for the last three years.

Performing also is the youngest stand-up comic in Wisconsin, Scott’s daughter , Kinsey Novotne, a.k.a., “The Amazing Kiki”. She is 11 years old, and will be attending New Richmond Middle School next year. She has performed at the Phipps and the Old Gem, and is currently cast in ‘Fiddler on the Roof,’ the Willow Rivers Players next musical production. She can be seen on YouTube under ‘Youngest Comedienne in WI” and has more than 850 hits already.

Filling out the roster will be the very funny David Franks, who is currently directing ‘Fiddler on the Roof’ for the Willow Rivers Players, and Gary Hansen, one of the comic stars at the Clear Lake Community Theatre. Marj Rowan will emcee and host the show.

Showtime is 9 p.m. Table 65, a restaurant and bistro, will offer their menu lineup for early arrivers. Come for their yummy food, wine and beer or their incredible gelato ice cream desserts. Cost for the comedy show is $15.00. The show last approx. 90 minutes. Reservations can be made and are recommended by calling Table 65 at 715-246-7657. They are located near Super America at 729 N. Knowles Ave.
