A candlelight vigil is being organized in memory of Jordan Johnson and Joshua Goodrich, the two New Richmond High School students who were killed in a car accident on Interstate 94 on Monday, July 30.
The community vigil is scheduled to take place at 8 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 5, at the New Richmond High School track, near the south fence.
Funerals have also been announced.
A visitation for Goodrich will be held at Cross Lutheran Church, 1246 County Road TT in Roberts, on Friday, Aug. 3, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. A memorial service will follow the visitation at the church.
A visitation will be held at Cullen Crea Funeral Home, 307 S. Arch Ave., from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 2. A memorial service will be held Friday, Aug. 3, from 6-7 p.m. at the New Richmond High School auditorium, 650 Richmond Way. The memorial service will follow at 7 p.m.
Local students and classmates of the boys have established a caring wall at New Richmond High School as an area for students to drop off cards, flowers or other mementos in honor of Goodrich and Johnson. The caring wall is located near the western parking lot by the high school track.
