LETTER: Baseball coaches deserve much thanks for efforts

To the Editor:

I’d like to give a big congratulatory slap on the back to the coaches of the U13 baseball team, Jeff Coleman, Rick Jirik, Jeff Miller, Grant Nelson and Mike Weiss, for the tireless hours of work they’ve put in this season, teaching these junior Tigers the right way to play the game, and how through their good sportsmanship, they cast a positive light on our community.

Showing these young men how hard work will lead to success, and this lesson does not just work on the ball field, but also in the game of life.

Congratulations, too, to the young men who gave us so many hours of entertainment and a thank you for the support of all the moms, dads, grandparents, friends and baseball fans, who attended the home games at Star Prairie, and on the road, and all those who contributed their time selling concessions and helping out. A job well done by all.

Way to go New Richmond Tigers, Gopher State U13 Champs!
