New Richmond Clinic has announced the addition of a new family practitioner, James G. Lopez, M.D.
Dr. Lopez graduated from the University of Florida College of Medicine and completed his medical internship and family medicine residency at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
He is board-certified in family practice and brings a strong interest in sports medicine and men’s health to our practice.
“I encourage an active lifestyle for adults of all ages,” he says.
Lopez has relocated from Aurora, Colo., with his wife, Melissa, an intensive care RN, and their twin daughters.
“New Richmond reminds me of upstate New York, where I grew up,” he says.
The Lopez family has strong ties to the area. The New Richmond Clinic’s Dr. Joseph Dietzler has known Dr. Lopez since both were resident physicians at the University of Wisconsin. Lopez’s wife has family in Chippewa Falls.
“I’m looking forward to living near friends — and working with friends,” Lopez says. “And now that my twin daughters are 18 months old, being close to family is important to us.”
