Mary Dallman, age 85, of River Falls, Wis., died Thursday, Aug. 30, at the Kinnic Health and Rehabilitation Center in River Falls.
Mary Dallman, age 85, of River Falls, Wis., died Thursday, Aug. 30, at the Kinnic Health and Rehabilitation Center in River Falls.
Mary was born Jan. 12, 1927, one of 12 children born to James and Gertrude (Ferber) Bowell. She was born in Spring Lake Township, Pierce County, Wis.
Mary grew up in the Hatchville area and went to Reed School for 12 years. On Nov. 28, 1949, she married Orwald Dallman in Wabasha, Minn. They lived in Emerald, Wis., then moved to Roberts where they raised a family of 11 children. She also lived near Baldwin for a few years and eventually moved to River Falls.
Mary loved her family. Her life was devoted to raising and taking care of her own kids and also cared for many of her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Orwald, who died in 1985; son Mark; and three sisters and seven brothers.
Mary is survived by six daughters and four sons: Rosemary (Charles) Helmueller of River Falls; Carey Dallman of River Falls; Beverly (Kirk) Livermore of Hammond; June (Mike) Johnson of Wheeler; Ruth (Marvin) Bamman of Spring Valley; Tony Dallman, Tom Dallman, and Richard Dallman, all of River Falls; Tina (Dave Perry) Dallman of Wheeler; and Cheryl (Scott) Casello of Menomonie; 18 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; one sister, Phyllis Webb of Elmwood; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Visitation was from 6-7:30 p.m. Friday evening, Sept. 7, at Keehr Funeral Home in Spring Valley. An evening service was held at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial was Saturday morning, Sept. 8, in Oak Ridge (Reed) Cemetery, Hatchville, Wis.
