New Richmond High School Athletic Hall of Fame induction banquet tickets now on sale

Tickets are now on sale for the banquet honoring the inaugural class of the New Richmond High School Athletic Hall of Fame.

Tickets are now on sale for the banquet honoring the inaugural class of the New Richmond High School Athletic Hall of Fame.

Tickets for the banquet and meal are available at the high school office, middle school office and district office. Ticket prices are $15 for adults and $10 for students. The banquet will be held in the NRHS Commons at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 6.

The Hall of Fame inductees will be honored during the 2012 NRHS Homecoming Week. The Homecoming football game will be played on Friday, Oct. 5 against the Osceola Chieftains.

The inaugural class of the NRHS Hall of Fame will include former coaches John Ball, Stan Barr and Betty Komula and former standout athletes Mike Hebert, Bob Meath, Karen (Musch) Kennedy, John Otteson, Holly Spoo, Jim Tjader, Tom Tjader and Jason Zahradka. Former National Football League star Johnny (Blood) McNally, a New Richmond native, will also be enshrined.

The Hall of Fame inductees will be introduced to the crowd at the Homecoming football game. A post-game social for the inductees will be held at Champs.

The banquet begins at 11:30 a.m. that Saturday. Speakers for the program will include High School Principal Tom Wissink, District Administrator Morrie Veilleux, District Human Resources Director Jeff Moberg and Athletic Director Casey Eckardt. Joey Miller has been selected to speak on behalf of the student body.
