Public Hearing Notice - October 25 - St. Croix County Comm Develop Committee

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

The St. Croix County Community Development Committee will conduct a public hearing on Thursday, October 25, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. St. Croix County Government Center, County Board Room, 1101 Carmichael Rd., Hudson, Wisconsin, to consider the following petition(s):

1) The St. Croix County 2012 – 2035 Comprehensive Plan as developed by the Planning and Zoning Department.

2) An Ordinance to Adopt the St. Croix County 2012 – 2035 Comprehensive Plan pursuant to Sections 59.69(2) and (3) of the Wisconsin Statutes as defined in sections 66.1001(1)(a) and 66.1001(2) of the Wisconsin Statutes.

The regular monthly meeting will begin at 6:00 p.m., a brief summary of the plan will be provided, and the public hearing will follow at 6:30 p.m. The Plan addresses all the elements required by Section 66.1001(1) and 66.1001(2) of the Wisconsin Statutes, including Issues and Opportunities, Community Forecasts, Utilities and Community Facilities, Transportation, Housing, Economic Development, Agricultural Resources, Natural Resources, Cultural Resources, Intergovernmental Cooperation, Land Use, and Implementation; and each of the elements in the plan includes a descriptive narrative of background material, trend analysis and trend projections; maps; goals; objectives; and policies as specified by state statute.

For anyone interested in reviewing a copy of the St. Croix County 2012 – 2035 Comprehensive Plan, and the Ordinance to Adopt the Plan; they will be available at the St. Croix County Planning and Zoning Department in the St. Croix County Government Center. The Plan and Ordinance may also be viewed or downloaded from the County web page www.sccwi.us/countycompplan.

In the case of cancellation of this hearing, such notice will be announced on WIXK and WEVR Radio Stations, or call the Planning and Zoning Department at 715-386-4680 before 5:00 p.m.
