A silent auction and spaghetti dinner is planned for Sunday, Oct. 7, to raise funds for Theresa Cody-Detwiler and her family.
In 1994, at the age of 10, Cody-Detwiler was diagnosed with diabetes. In 2008, she lost her sight and is now in need of a kidney and pancreas transplant. She is on a transplant waiting list.
All proceeds from the benefit will go to Cody-Detwiler and her family – husband Terry, and daughters Jesica, 12, and Pypper Rose, 4, to help defray the costs associated with the transplant not covered by insurance.
The dinner and auction will be held from noon to 4 p.m. this Sunday at Rooster’s Roadhouse, Jewett (along County Road T south of Highway 64).
Tickets for the dinner are $10 for those 12 and older; $5 for ages 4 to 11; and free for kids under 3.
Music will be provided by Chuck Bethke – The Little Falls Music Makers and The Badger Dutchman.
Monetary donations to the fund can be sent to the Theresa Cody-Detwiler Benefit, First National Community Bank, 109 E. Second St., New Richmond, Wis. 54017.
