New Richmond Athletic Hall of Fame inductions are Saturday
The inaugural class of the New Richmond High School Athletic Hall of Fame will be enshrined during a ceremony at the high school this Saturday.

The enshrinement banquet will be held in the NRHS Commons at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
Tickets for the banquet and meal are available at the high school office, middle school office and district office. Ticket prices are $15 for adults and $10 for students. For those who just want to attend the program, it will begin at 12:15 p.m. There is no charge to attend the program.
The inaugural class of the NRHS Hall of Fame will include former coaches John Ball, Stan Barr and Betty Komula and former standout athletes Mike Hebert, Bob Meath, Karen (Musch) Kennedy, John Otteson, Holly Spoo, Jim Tjader, Tom Tjader and Jason Zahradka. Former National Football League star Johnny (Blood) McNally, a New Richmond native, will also be enshrined.
The Hall of Fame inductees will be honored as part of the 2012 NRHS Homecoming Week. The Homecoming football game will be played on Friday against the Osceola Chieftains. The Hall of Fame inductees will be introduced to the crowd between the first and second quarters of the Homecoming football game.
A post-game social for the inductees after the football game will be held at Champs at 220 South Knowles Ave. It is open to the public. Hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar will be available. The Hall of Fame Committee has reserved the rooftop patio and bar area for the event until midnight.
Speakers for Saturday’s enshrinement program will include High School Principal Tom Wissink, District Administrator Morrie Veilleux, District Human Resources Director Jeff Moberg and Athletic Director Casey Eckardt. Joey Miller has been selected to speak on behalf of the student body.
The Hall of Fame enshrinees were selected by voting of a Hall of Fame committee, based upon nominations received by the committee. Nomination forms are available at New Richmond High School or on the New Richmond School District website.
