Notice of Public Budget Hearing

& Special Town Meeting to the Electors

Thursday, November 8th, 2012

7:30 p.m. at the Town Hall,

Notice is hereby given that a Public Hearing on the proposed 2013 Budget of the Town of Somerset will be held at the Town Hall on Thursday, November 8, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. The proposed budget is available for inspection upon request from the Clerk/Treasurer or on the Town’s website at www.townofsomerset-wi.org.

Notice is further given that on Thursday, November 8, 2012, immediately following the completion of the Public Hearing on the proposed 2013 Budget, a Special Town Meeting of the Electors called pursuant to Section 60.12 (1)(c) of Wisconsin Statutes by the Town Board will be held:

1. To approve the total highway expenditures for 2013 pursuant to Sec. 81.01 (3) of Wis.Statutes;

2. To adopt the 2012 Town tax levy to be paid in 2013 pursuant to Sec. 60.10 (1)(a) of Wis.Statutes;

3. To establish the compensation of the elected Town officials for the terms of office to begin in April 2013, pursuant to 60.32 of Wis. Statutes;

4. To authorize the Town Board to hire Town officers as employees of the Town (part-time/snow removal) and set an hourly wage pursuant to Sec. 60.10 (1)(g) of Wis.Statutes;

Following the Public Budget Hearing and Special Town Meeting of the Electors, the November Town Board meeting will be held.
