The Somerset Public Library’s annual silent auction earned the library more than $1,100 for its building fund.

“We are grateful to the people that support it,” said Kay Walsh, president of the Somerset Library Board.

Librarian Norma Scott said the Somerset Library has been working on its building fund for several years.

The library is gathering money to be able to someday expand the library north of its current location.

The annual silent auction, Scott said, is one way the library saves up money so it can do that.
