LETTER: Administration leans toward Socialism

To the Editor:

However you usually vote, there are some questions you need to consider. An article in the 10-15-12 Saint Paul Pioneer Press stated that the Obama campaign adopted "Forward" as its 2012 campaign slogan. It was a favorite term of Marxists and the name of Lenin's underground paper in 1905 and is still popular in Socialist publications. Carolyn Baum pointed out that it was a strange choice considering President Obama has been accused of being a Socialist.

There are urgent subjects to consider when voting if we want to keep America free. In 2008 Obama said he was going to fundamentally transform this nation. If he is re-elected will he believe he has a mandate to do it and has he been setting the groundwork with the czars he has appointed? The dictionary definition of czar is someone with absolute authority. President Obama has appointed about 35 of them.

The Constitution set up a government with balances so none of the three branches can get too powerful. Sen. Orrin Hatch declared the czar appointments unconstitutional because they circumvent the Constitutional process. Dr. Clark Jensen in an article on 6-25-12 pointed out that having czars usurps the rights and authority of cabinet members who have gone through the Constitutional process and have been investigated and approved by congress. So - there is a lack of transparency and accountability - the czars actions are secret and only known to the administration. Having Czars subverts Congress' authority to act as a Constitutional check to the Executive branch. We don't hear anything about them but they are getting paid and they are out there.

Why did the Democratic Senate allow the Ppesident to make these appointments? The House passed a budget amendment 2-11-12 to block funding for the czars but apparently the Senate didn't.

It is extremely disturbing to see who Obama appointed. I urge you to be informed and look up Obama's czars on the Internet, many are Socialists.

For example: John Holdren, Science Czar, believes in forced abortion, sterilization, and seizing babies from teen mothers; Cass Sunstein, Regulatory Czar, believes in explicit consent - harvesting human organs without family consent, allowing animals to go to court and banning all hunting; Kevin Jennings, a homosexual, is the Safe School Czar; Mark Lloyd, Diversity Czar, has Socialist beliefs and believes in curtailing free speech.

Obama also appointed some cabinet members who were tax cheats and Socialists. Valerie Jarrett, an avowed Socialist, became his Senior White House advisor. There is so much more - are these people going to promote democracy in America?

Also, President Obama and Hillary Clinton want approval for three U.N. treaties that would override our sovereignty and put our children, women's rights, and gun laws under the authority of the United Nations. That is outrageous.

Your vote is critical. Do you want to live in freedom in a Republic or go down the path of control and Socialism?
