LETTER: Trick-or-treaters say thank you
Last Wednesday night, as I closed the front door on the last of the trick or treat visitors and I turned out the light, it occurred to me that each and every one of the Halloween celebrators paused after receiving their candy treats to say “thank you.”
To the Editor:
Last Wednesday night, as I closed the front door on the last of the trick or treat visitors and I turned out the light, it occurred to me that each and every one of the Halloween celebrators paused after receiving their candy treats to say “thank you.”
I don’t receive a lot of ghost and goblins, but 30 or so kids saying thank you really made my day, and I bet others in my neighborhood enjoyed the same. It was absolutely refreshing.
In several instances I could hear their parents or companions from the street ask them if they said thank you, and sometimes they yelled it out too. Parents often go through their busy schedules and wonder if anyone notices the good and simple things they are doing each and every day.
Well, this guy noticed. Keep up the good work!
