Kathleen Dyg, 70

Kathleen Marie Dyg (nee White), age 70, of New Richmond, died peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones, on Friday, Nov. 16.

She was born the daughter of Eugene and Mary Ellen (Hunt) White on Aug. 4, 1942, in St. Paul, Minn. Kathy's family moved to New Richmond in the early 1950s. She grew up in New Richmond, graduating from New Richmond High School with the class of 1960. On Oct. 27, 1961, she was married to Otto L. Dyg in Pine City, Minn.

Kathy was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She always put her family first and was the glue that held them together. When her children were older, she worked as a school bus driver and then as a book binder at St. Croix Press. Kathy was an excellent cook and baker who always made sure you never left hungry. She enjoyed gardening and never missed CSI on Wednesday night. She was loving and kind and put others' needs ahead of her own.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Mary Ellen White; grandson, Westy Brook; and brothers, Eugene and Pat White.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Otto Dyg Sr.; children, Annette (Chad Canopy) Sislo, Christy (Weston) Brook, Bonnie (Robin) Kinneman, Susie (David) Dyg-Mork, Otto (Vickie) Dyg Jr., Dawn (George) Ferguson; grandchildren, Raymond, Michael, Adam, Joshua (Kristen Kunze), and Ashley Sislo, Matthew Brook, Brian (Kristi), Andrew, and Daniel Kinneman, Missy (Bruce) Wry, Allison Dyg, Tyler, Zach, and Katilyn Mork, Nicole and Jared Potter, Amanda and Isabelle Dyg, Anthony and Jacob Ferguson; great-grandchildren, Ramie Sislo, Hailey and Landen Sislo-Paul, Brooke Wry, Aubrey Cullen, with three more on the way; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, at First Lutheran Church in New Richmond. Memorial visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, at the Bakken-Young Beebe Chapel in New Richmond, and on Wednesday from 10-11 a.m. at the church.
