New Richmond boys win MBC hoops opener; Central boys fall to SCF
The New Richmond boys basketball team generated a successful start to the Middle Border Conference season on Tuesday.

The Tigers scored a 55-41 win at Ellsworth. Joe Deppe led the Tigers with 19 points.
In other MBC action, Baldwin-Woodville knocked off Prescott 62-50 and Durand handled Amery, 55-37.
St. Croix Central boys
Central’s boys battled St. Croix Falls evenly for three quarters Tuesday night, with the score tied at 38-38 heading into the fourth quarter. The Saints went on a 14-2 run to start the fourth quarter, defeating Central 58-45.
