The New Richmond Heritage Center is in the spirit of Christmas and the historic Victorian farmhouse on site is just one example of that.
Several ladies, including Curator Mary Sather, spent Tuesday, Nov. 27, decorating the farm house into a “Children’s Christmas” wonderland.
The Heritage Center adopts a new holiday-oriented theme each year. Last year was “An 1890s Christmas.”
The Heritage Center hosts two upcoming Saturday open houses, Dec. 1 and 8. The open houses run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The flea market will be open in the pavilion at the same time for pre-holiday sales.
The center’s annual Farmhouse Christmas Lunch is set for Wednesday, Dec. 12. There will be two seatings for guests 11:15 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Tickets are $12 per person and the menu includes casseroles, breads, pickles, ham and desserts. Call 715-246-3276 for reservations.
