Leo Sylvester Crotty of Somerset, Wis., died Saturday, Dec. 8, at home, after a battle with cancer.

Leo Sylvester Crotty of Somerset, Wis., died Saturday, Dec. 8, at home, after a battle with cancer.

Leo was born in Osceola, Wis., Jan. 12, 1939, to Sylvester and Viola Crotty. He was a veteran of the National Guard, the 4th Battalion of Fort Leonard Wood. He served on the Somerset Police Dept. and Fire Dept. for 10 years. He was a very talented carpenter, and he enjoyed many hobbies outdoors such as camping, gardening, yard work, and taking his 1962 Starfire for a cruise in his free time.

Leo is survived by his wife of 51 years, Darlene; his children, Scott (Roxann), Julie (John) Martell, Mark (Penny), Amy, Jay (Lisa), and Barry; grandchildren, Danielle, Samuel, Micah, Jordan, Joshua, Brittany, Kirsty, Megan, Emily, Zachary, Jolise, Jaylin, and Allyiah; great-grandchildren, Lydia and Elliana; and his brother, Robert (Mary) Crotty.

Visitation 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Somerset, and also 1 hour prior to service. Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 14, at St. Anne's Catholic Church.
