A death announcement for Collin Fitzgerald, 4, was issued Wednesday by Cullen Crea Funeral Home, New Richmond.
Collin died shortly after he was struck by a vehicle plowing snow at the family's property on 238th Avenue in the town of Star Prairie, the St. Croix County Sheriff's Office said. Daniel Fitzgerald, Collin's father, was driving the vehicle at the time of the accident.

While clearing snow from in front of the family's garage, Daniel Fitzgerald told deputies he realized his son had been injured. He said he called for help and started life-saving measures.
Deputies and the New Richmond EMS crews were called to the scene at 11:52 a.m. Tuesday. The boy was transported to Westfield's Hospital in New Richmond where he was pronounced dead due to massive head injuries, according to a press release from the sheriff's office.
A funeral service is set for 11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 15 at Faith Community Church 1040 Paperjack Dr., New Richmond with visitation two hours prior to the service at the church.
