New Richmond water rates set to rise
On December 4, 2012, the Utility Commission approved a 3.2 percent increase in water rates effective February 1, 2013.
On December 4, 2012, the Utility Commission approved a 3.2 percent increase in water rates effective February 1, 2013.
This will mean an increase of approximately .71 cents on an average monthly residential water bill. Water rates were last increased July 2009.
The reason for this increase is due to significant increases in fuel costs as well as additional governmental requirements.
