Foundation gathers for breakfast event

Board chair Dwight Cummins talked about the achievements Lakeview Hospital, Stillwater Medical Group Clinics and the Lakeview Foundation achieved this past year.
Among them: Lakeview Hospital was named a Top 100 Hospitals for the fifth time; Lakeview Homecare was recognized by HomeCare Elite; Stillwater Medical Group opened a new clinic in Mahtomedi; the electronic medical record system was successful implemented; charity care was provided to patients through a variety of programs and services, thanks to the contributions of donors throughout the St. Croix Valley; the Lakeview Foundation Cedar Bend Society was created; and Lakeview Health’s PowerUp initiative was unveiled.
The event also included a presentation on Lakeview’s expanded oncology services and its vision for the future. A patient shared his personal journey with pancreatic cancer. Also, a short video, “Generations of Care,” was shared and is now available for viewing on the lake viewhealth.org website.
Board member Ron Phillippo concluded the breakfast with a call for support to benefit the mission of the foundation. More than $70,000 was raised, kicking off the foundation’s fundraising efforts for 2013.
