LETTER: A big thank you to New Richmond

To the Editor:

I want to thank everyone again for electing me Citizen of the Year. My friends and family, including my sister Evie and her husband Cliff, along with my nephew Russell and his girlfriend Nicole are so happy for me to get the award.

A big thanks to everyone who sent congratulation cards. I want the people of New Richmond to know that I am very proud to be Citizen of the Year.

Thank you to Jeff for taking the picture for the New Richmond News. Thanks to Mike Montello and Dave Newman for the kind words that were said about me. I wouldn’t be Citizen of the Year without being nominated so thank you New Richmond News and the Chamber of Commerce.

I also want the people to know I belong to the Knights of Columbus. We forgot to put that in the previous news article.

Last, but not least, a special thanks to Wally and Esther Lind for all the support and help they have given me all these years.

My cousin Mike Thompson is so happy and proud I got Citizen of the Year award for 2012.
