A Wisconsin Hunter Education Class will be offered to anyone in the New Richmond area, with classes beginning on Monday, Feb. 4.
This class is required for anyone born after Jan. 1, 1973, who wants to purchase a hunting license. Anyone interested should be 12 years of age before Dec. 31, 2013. Pre-registration is required. Students will be taken on the order of registration. Only taking 60 students will be taken.
The classes start on Monday Feb. 4, at 7 p.m. Classes will be held Monday and Thursday nights from 7-9 p.m. The final class will be held on March 18. There is no class on Feb. 7, Feb. 11, and Feb. 14. One Saturday class is planned on March 16 from 8 a.m.-noon at the Willow River Rod and Gun Club.
Anyone registering must have a Wisconsin DNR Customer ID number before start of class. Call: 1-888-936-7463 to get ID number.
The location of the class New Richmond National Guard Armory, 1245 Wall Street. Cost to attend is $10.
