Middle Border Conference wrestling meet in New Richmond on Saturday
The 2013 Middle Border Conference Wrestling Tournament will be held this Saturday at New Richmond High School.
The 2013 Middle Border Conference Wrestling Tournament will be held this Saturday at New Richmond High School.
Wrestling is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m., following the opening announcements and national anthem. Weigh-ins will be held at 8 a.m.
MBC dual meet champion Ellsworth leads a strong field of teams into the tournament. New Richmond, Somerset, Amery, Baldwin-Woodville, Durand, Osceola and Prescott will also be competing in the meet.
Admission for all sessions of the tournament is $5. For those only wanting to see the finals, admission is $4. The finals are expected to start at approximately 3 p.m. Individual awards will be given out to the top three wrestlers in each weight class. The Dick Fuller Award will be presented to the Outstanding Wrestler of the tournament.
Overseeing the tournament are New Richmond Athletic Director Casey Eckardt and tournament manager Justin Leverty.
