LETTER: Primary candidates deserve support

The time has come for the residents of the New Richmond School District to be heard.

To the Editor:

The time has come for the residents of the New Richmond School District to be heard.

Now, most of the members of the school board are not of such a year in life, as my dad used to say, that they can’t hear what’s coming.

The primary Feb. 19, 2013, should be like Gabriel blowing the horn to signal the end. It is time to have your voice heard loud and clear and the best way to do it is with votes.

No more hot towels, $400K field lights and poorly run meetings. It is time for change and it can only happen with your votes.

There are two excellent candidates, Esther S. Wentz and Gene Mireau. Esther and Gene both know how to run a darn good meeting. Esther knows education inside and out; she’s been in the game for more than 35 years and a public servant for 20 plus years. Gene knows the mechanics of not only the buildings but of the educational system.

Together, these candidates will breathe new life into what has become a bobble head, stagnant, empire-building school board.

I can’t afford the decisions being made and I don’t believe many of you can either. Feb. 19, 2013, let your vote speak for you!
