Town of Star Prairie

WHEREAS Warren Slocum and others, comprising ownership of more than five percent of the assessed valuation of all the taxable property in the Town of Star Prairie, St. Croix County, Wisconsin, made written complaint to the Wisconsin Department of Revenue for the reassessment of all taxable property in said taxation district, according to the provisions of Section 70.75 of the Wisconsin Statutes, for the reason that the assessment of property in said taxation district is not made in substantial compliance with law and is unequal as between different taxpayers, and that the interests of the public will be promoted by a reassessment of all real and personal property in said taxation district.

NOW, THEREFORE, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a hearing on said complaint will be held before the Wisconsin Department of Revenue on April 9th, 2013 at 6:00 PM. at the Town of Star Prairie Town Hall, 2118 Cook Drive, Somerset, WI 54025, at which time and place all persons interested in said complaint will be given an opportunity to be heard and said application for reassessment of such district will be investigated. There shall be a one half hour time limit for the first signer of the petition or a group presentation and a 15 minute limit for all other persons interested in speaking.
