A Spring Valley husband and wife, Kerry, 35, and Jamie, 34, Wittmer, have been arrested for allegedly stealing televisions, power tools, laptop computers and other items from a loading dock at Valley Cartage, 3011 Enloe St. in Hudson.
Kerry Wittmer was employed by the company and allegedly was stealing the items and selling them at about a third of the retail cost.
Hudson Police Chief Marty Jensen said his department has already recovered about 35 flat-screen televisions, ranging in sizes from 27 inches to 60 inches. Other items include two laptop computers, six DVD/BluRay players, 11 digital cameras and three wireless security systems.
“The items could be worth up to $20,000 or more,” Jensen said. “There could be more items that we don’t know about yet.”
Anyone having information about the thefts, or any items that might have come from this company, are asked to call the Hudson Police at 715 386-4771.
