The Gamma Phi chapter of Sigma Sigma Sigma will be holding its fourth annual Rockin’ for Robbie benefit concert on Friday, April 23, from 7-11 p.m. at the Falcon’s Nest of the University Center on the UW-River Falls campus.
Proceeds from this concert will benefit the sorority’s philanthropy, the
Robbie Page Memorial, which supports play therapy in children’s hospitals.
Originally created to find a cure for polio, the Robbie Page Memorial now
supports children in a new light. The memorial is named for the son of
the sorority’s 4th national president who passed away from polio in 1951.
Today, the memorial is set up to provide children with toys and games to
make their stay at the hospital a more enjoyable one.
The sorority will have a local theme this year for the benefit rock
concert. The concert will feature two local bands: The Limns and Full Tilt. They also will be raffling off prizes from local businesses within the River Falls/ Hudson area throughout the evening. Such businesses participating in the event are Bo’s and Mine, Dish and Spoon
Café, Maurice’s, Pizza Hut, and many others.
Tickets are on sale from any Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority member. They are $3 in advance or at the door.
