UPDATE: Missing boy found dead
An eight-year-old boy missing for almost two days was found dead this morning (Friday) in the Baraboo River in Sauk County. Searchers found the body of Joseph Anderson of rural Reedsburg around 8 a.m.
An eight-year-old boy missing for almost two days was found dead this morning in the Baraboo River in Sauk County.
Searchers found the body of Joseph Anderson of rural Reedsburg around 8 a.m.
Sheriff’s officials say it’s too early to tell if the death was suspicious, and an investigation is underway.
Joseph was last seen about 3 p.m. Wednesday when he stepped outside his house to play alone. His father reported him missing Wednesday night.
A ground-and-air search took place yesterday, and the state Justice Department sent an endangered missing persons alert to police and other institutions throughout Wisconsin.
