Baseball: Double doubleheaders for FHS
The Farmington baseball team was on both sides of a pair of doubleheader sweeps last week. The Tigers had their largest offensive output of the young season last Tuesday when they knocked off New Prague 13-2 and 5-2 at Memorial Park in New Prague. Girls lacrosse: Century, Burnsville edge Tigers
A pair of closely-contested losses kept the Farmington girls lacrosse team winless last week. The Tigers couldn’t muster the offense to rally in a 7-5 loss to Rochester Century Friday night at Tiger Stadium. Girls track: Tigers productive at Hamline Elite
The Farmington girls track team sent five events to the Hamline Elite Meet Friday night in St. Paul and all five came away with top-10 finishes. Defending state 110 hurdles champion Nadia Lorencz placed third in the event in 15.53 seconds and added a fourth-place long jump of 16 feet, 9 1/4 inches and a ninth-place triple jump of 33 feet, 8 1/2 inches.The Farmington Independent, 05/01/2013

The Farmington boys track team made the most of its two events at Friday night’s Hamline Elite Meet in St. Paul.
