start recruiting older reps. ages 25-75. They can have fun with a royalty family. Hit some parades, do some photo ops at a local event & create some good friendships. could be fun.

I have to agree with Joy that it is sad that we don't have someone representing New Richmond. The community service part of it was fun it deff took alot of time and dedication to participate and i'm sure they are right about students being busy with summer training and sports. Basically I think its the job of the court to try and recruit people to carry it on for the next year and I dont think the previous court did a good job of that. So hopefully in the future they are able to get it up and running again and perhaps chaning it back to Miss New Richmond would get more girls interested/involved because it would be linked with funfest and those festivities

Maybe there are no more relatives of those in charge that want to run?

I think it is sad that a small community like New Richmond cannot get any candicates to run for queen. What is wrong with these ladies? Community service is a huge thing for college. Also it means a lot to the community as a whole to see someone represent New Richmond. This is wrong and there should be someone to represent New Richmond in other parades.
