Many years ago, my Dad started losing his milk cows. The local vet couldn't figure out what was killing them. He finally called in the state vet, who quantined our farm and finally concluded the cattle were being poisoned by putting their heads over the fence and eating deadly ferns from the adjacent land. Dad lost 32 head of cattle because of this. It was pretty devastating. I hope they can find out what is killing these cows.
