Paul Werni, owner and operator of the 45th Parallel distillery in New Richmond, inspects a sample of whiskey he barreled two weeks ago. The distillery has been known for its signature brand of 45th Parallel Vodka, but now it is venturing into the whiskey market. Although he is contracting the whiskey out right now, he is building up his own supply to sell under his own label four years from now.
