Leon Hawkins will be leading the Hammond Heartland Days Parade as grand marshal riding in his wagon, drawn by his two Belgian draft horses, King and Cody. Hawkins opted to drive the wagon he has driven through local parades for 20 years rather than riding in a convertible.
