Ryan Knudtson, 10, holds up his Eco-Bot, a tiny robot made with a cell phone vibrator motor, watch battery and toothbrush head. The Eco-Bot cleaned up a mock oil-spill, made of rice, as a part of the Eco-Bot Challenge, this year’s 4-H National Youth Science Day challenge. The event was Oct. 11 at Somerset Middle School, organized by the St. Croix County 4-H Council and Eric Olson,Somerset Middle School teacher. Knudtson belongs to Forestview 4-H club.
