Ann M. Hoppe, age 64, of New Richmond, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 4, 2010, at United Hospital in St. Paul, Minn.
Ann was born Nov. 9, 1945, in New Richmond, to John A and Freda V. (Larson) Moe. She attended New Richmond schools and graduated from New Richmond High School. Ann married William A. Hoppe on Sept. 19, 1970, at First Lutheran Church in New Richmond.
She enjoyed traveling, scary movies and talking on the phone with her friends. The most important thing to Ann was her family.
Ann is survived by her daughter, Shannon Hoppe; sister, Marion Moe; and niece, Sandra Steffenson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Freda Moe; husband, William Hoppe; and brother, Gerald Moe.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 9, at First Lutheran Church in New Richmond. Visitation will also be on Tuesday from 9-11 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Oakland Cemetery.
Arrangements are with Bakken-Young's Beebe Mortuary of New Richmond.

My sincere condolences to Ann's family, particularly Shannon, who is a friend of my son's. We often saw Ann at NRHS band concerts and parades and shared pride in our children's performances. She was a very gentle soul. Mary HubbellStar Prairie, WI 02/09/2010 1:23 PM
